It's 1948 and the Bakersfield Racquet Club has a history in the making.
It was built on Pine St in 1948 and is the 5th oldest tennis club west of the Rocky Mountains. 2023 was BRC's 75th anniversary, a major accomplishment for a business with a long and rich history. The Club has even deeper roots, prior to moving to the current location, BRC was located at Jastro Park from 1930 to 1948, where it was given “club" status by USTA.
In essence, we have been a vital part of Bakersfield’s community for almost a century! BRC provides members and guests first-class facilities for all levels of competition. a highly qualified staff, and an array of enthusiastic teaching professionals.

Bakersfield Racquet Club (BRC) offers members and their guests an unparalleled location and experience to play tennis, pickleball, swim, work out in the gym, and gather for social events.
The facilities include ten lighted tennis courts, four dedicated pickleball courts, two swimming pools, a gym, men’s and women’s locker rooms, two multipurpose event rooms, an on-site restaurant serving lunch on weekdays, and a lovely outdoor patio.
Our clubhouse offers a pro shop, racket stringing, and friendly knowledgeable staff.
BRC is a private, member-owned facility.
